The Amphora brand of pipe tobaccos were originally manufactured by Douwe Egberts (DE), a company based in Netherlands and founded in 1753. They manufactured coffee, tea, and tobacco products. In 1998, DE sold its tobacco business to Imperial Tobacco who still manufactures the Amphora brands.
This regular cavendish blend is a mixture of Burley, Oriental, Kentucky and Virginia Tobaccos with an especially mild taste, the result of ou cavendish process of pressing the tobacco under specific temperature and humidity conditions. Amphora regular stands out with its mellow, pure tobacco taste and its high quality, slow burning properties.
